LumaSweet Lifelike colour for S5II V-Log

LumaSweet Lifelike gives true-to-life colour for Panasonic S5II and S5IIx V-Log. It reproduces the hue, saturation and lightness of various tones, as they appear in reality.

COLOUR ACCURACY

Overall hue, saturation and brightness accuracy across all tones is excellent. An average measurement of Delta E (difference from the colour target) of almost 300 colour samples across the Rec709 spectrum is less than 1, ie: less than a “just noticeable difference”.

CONTRAST CONTROL

LumaSweet Lifelike is a set of LUTs, each containing the same colour-accurate conversion, but at different contrast levels to suit the user’s taste and needs.

• LumaSweet Lifelike FILM - high midtone contrast with smooth highlight and shadow roll-off. 18% grey maps to the correct value for Rec709

• LumaSweet Lifelike FLAT - low midtone contrast, suitable for further grading. 18% grey maps to the correct value for Rec709

• LumaSweet Lifelike V709 - the same contrast level as the official Panasonic LUT but with accurate colour. For those who are familiar with this curve.

• LumaSweet Lifelike V-LOG - converts the colour only. Contrast remains unchanged for those who prefer to create their own contrast curve.

APPLICATIONS

LumaSweet Lifelike is ideal for tasks that demand colour accuracy. It’s perfect for product videography, branding, corporate, fashion, portraiture, art reproduction, real-estate.

It’s also an excellent general purpose profile suitable for everyday use. Skintones look considerably better, saturation is evenly balanced and colour clipping is reduced.
